As promised, here is the first story to be posted, though it comes a little later than I'd intended. It's still difficult to muster up the courage needed to actually post my work where literally anyone might see it. Hopefully this is something that will become easier the more I do it. Fingers crossed and all that.
This story is one I wrote about a year and a half ago for one of my modules at University. It was meant to grow into one part of a larger set of short stories focussing on the central character, but I've never gotten round to actually writing any more. Technically this short isn't even finished, as the rather abrupt ending will attest to. I'll talk more about my thoughts on the story and why I haven't written any more of it in another post soon to follow, but for now I implore you to click on the jump and read on.
